Portfolio of Work
What I can bring to your team...
L&D Management Expertise
As the sole training professional in a 250-person division, I have effectively taken on the responsibilities of a training manager while holding the title of Instructional Designer. I have single-handedly developed and launched several comprehensive sales and service curriculum overhauls, demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills. I created and implemented new professional development learning tracks tailored to dealer job roles and built a robust onboarding training program for new dealers from the ground up.
Additionally, I developed a complete training program for the sales associates of a major mass-market partner, aiding them in integrating our products into their seasonal sales lineup and proving myself detrimental to the launch of this new partnership. My leadership in improving the e-learning creation process has resulted in annual savings of over $25,000 for my department.
I manage all 7,500 dealer learners in our learning management system, overseeing their learning data, enrollment requirements, course access, and more. My ability to lead and manage these extensive training initiatives ensures that our division remains efficient, effective, and aligned with organizational goals.
Graphic Design Skills
I develop e-learning courses, facilitate both in-person and virtual instructor-led training, and create all associated training materials, including booklets, job aids, and quick-start guides. My focus is on achieving learning targets efficiently and effectively, without unnecessary design elements. I believe that good design should be invisible, seamlessly supporting the material and enhancing the learning experience. It should engage learners authentically and complement rigorous course content.
I am committed to continuously improving the learning process by incorporating feedback from learners and staying updated with the latest educational technologies and methodologies. This ensures that the training programs I develop are adaptive to the evolving needs of learners.
Writing Experience
As a former English teacher and a self-professed grammar enthusiast, I bring a keen eye for clarity and precision to the learning experiences I create. My background includes a BA in Writing, driven by the belief that language has the power to both create and solve problems.
My passion for language ensures that every piece of copy I produce is clear, concise, and accessible to all learners. Whether developing course materials, instructional guides, or e-learning content, I prioritize making the information straightforward and engaging. By bridging the gap between technical jargon and learner comprehension, I strive to create educational experiences that are both informative and enjoyable.
